The Franchise Engine LLC is dedicated to driving interested buyers to our network of web sites to assist them in finding the best franchise opportunity for them. To accomplish this task, we built a network of 38 web sites that help franchisors market their franchise opportunity to interested buyers. We continue to spend many hours on search engine optimization efforts (SEO) in order to drive our page rank higher in search results (example: go to Google and search "Franchise Leads" and you will see that The Franchise Engine is in the number 1 position). We also advertise in various ways. These efforts help drive buyer traffic to our network of sites. The more buyers that we can bring to our sites, the more value that franchisors will receive!
Why Pay Per Lead is a bad idea.
We are a subscription based web site. We do not use a "pay per lead" system like many of our competitors. Our subscriptions are very affordable, especially when considering the many benefits franchisors receive. Our search engine is first rate with many filtering options. If interested in any franchise, buyers have many choices when contacting the franchisor. They can submit their contact information to the franchisor by using our "Request for Information" (RFI). Or they can call or email the franchisor directly. Or most likely we will capture the buyer's initial interest and then they will leave our site by selecting the web site link that the franchisor provides in their listing to go directly to the franchisor's web site. Once there the franchisor now has the buyer's undivided attention and the likelihood of converting that potential buyer into a sale increases.
While Pay Per Lead sounds great in theory, it doesn't work very well. In fact, we were actually one of the earlier web sites to use a Pay Per Lead system. The problem with Pay Per Lead is that every franchisor is different. A quality lead to one may not be a quality lead to another. So it is really difficult to be fair to all when it comes to pricing. And franchisors do not want to pay for garbage leads, or leads that have been circulated around from one franchisor to the next (we never do this). Worse yet, the buyers do not like to be cornered on one web site. They like the freedom to roam at their leisure. They know that there will be more information on the company web site than any web portal can display. Unlike the many pay per lead competitor sites who must hog the buyer in favor of their own RFI system, we don't care if the buyer leaves our site in favor of the franchisor's site. Why? Because if we can get the buyer to the franchisor's web site we have done our job.
Think about it. Any interested buyer is going to end up at the franchisor's web site eventually. Why not accelerate that process?
Easy to Manage.
Just one account to manage, and the results are displayed on 38 web sites with the click of a button. How easy is that? And we want franchisor's to include as much detailed information in their listing as possible. We also provide the franchisor with a very extensive management tool where they can monitor all activity on their listing. Franchisors also receive the added benefit of having their web site address displayed on our network of 38 web sites which has tremendous SEO value. No other competitor can claim this. Overall, we think our subscription based system really outperforms any Pay Per Lead system. It is a great value at a very affordable price.
